Christmas Letter from Tulsabares

Note: This is a copy of a letter sent by Brad’s family in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dear family, friends, and anyone else in my Outlook Contacts who might receive this letter,
I am writing this as Ann and I come down the mountain from Colorado Springs - of course, she’s driving. Here are this year’s eight compelling tidbits about this great family I get to share my life with…
Of course, the most amazing woman on the planet - my wife, Ann. In less than 10 months we celebrate 30 years of marital bliss. I would have never thought when we were married at 18 years of age that life would be so stinking incredible. I love everything about her and want to be with her all the time. Hmmm. I even get to do that: I home office 90% of the time (thanks to a great staff who allows me to do so) and in May we purchased a brand new coach bus so we can travel together. I love it, Ann likes it, and the kids hate it - more on that later. Ann’s not the same woman she was a year ago - in August she had a tumor (we found out post-operation it was benign) on her liver and had it resected along with a hernia repaired - a two for one deal. She has made a 95% recovery and claims she will never have surgery again! By the way, thanks for your prayers.
Luke (19) xanga.com/labare03 Moved from Tulsa to LA in September. Plays ice hockey (and shares the condo in Pasadena) with his brother Mark. Makes his living working as a hockey referee, at a restaurant, and other free lance jobs. The only thing he misses about the central coast (Tulsa) is nothing.
To quote chef Emeril “Bam! Bam!” Craig (22) also moved out - to Kansas City. Loves KC and almost everything it has to offer - not to mention most of our families live there. His days are full: working at Insight Financial, Starbucks, and Pottery Barn. In June he, Luke, and three friends from KC took a vacation to LA where they were on The Price is Right - no stage time but great audience participants.
Brad (25) and his bride of three years, Jamaica, have replaced their front door with a turnstile as they play host to many friends and family throughout the year. Jamaica is pursuing her Masters in philosophy while Brad continues to take classes at Pasadena City College (PCC). You can learn more about Brad and his companies and them as a couple at bradandjamaica.com, thinkpersonality.com, cfcclabs.com, and churchmarketingsucks.com
Mark (24) xanga.com/mabarea.k.a Mr. Chill. He frequents the pool, the beach, and ice rinks. Still works full time for Brad. He can also be found on campus at PCC attending Spanish and Speech classes. Now he’ll know how to talk in public, we just won’t be able to understand him.
Our kids use their daily commutes in KC & LA to call home and talk - thank God for traffic and lots of it.
Joy (14) our comic understudy - nicknamed Kip (Napoleon Dynamite). See her Xanga for more information. In her first year of high school (her favorite and only teacher is mom) she is a fashion consultant, baby-sitter, and aspiring CEO. She loves music, movies and wants to learn to play guitar.
Paul (11) our youngest and most energetic (I think this is how George W. Bush was when he was 11) plays ice hockey and started skateboarding over the summer. He aspires to play guitar and currently pretends like he is playing drums on everything in sight. He is in sixth grade and shares the same teacher as Joy. Incidentally, I am crazy about their teacher.
Business and pleasure have taken us to many and various destinations this year - most in our new coach bus - all 43 - of luxury. Just think of me as the John Madden of ministry (with almost 1 million miles on American Airlines I refuse to fly and have not done so since before 9/11). The coach amenities are too many to list but suffice it to say this is traveling at its finest - unless you’re Joy or Paul who dislike leaving home and friends and therefore don’t like the coach.
Oncore continues to grow - more than 50 employees, we serve some of the most amazing and God-pursuing organization in the country. There are too many highlights to mention but you can read more about us at oncoregroup.com
Speaking of highlights, we pray this Christmas and Holiday season would be one dedicated to making family memories, remembering our troops who have made it possible for us to experience our freedom, and remembering the real and only reason we celebrate - Jesus Christ.
God bless you and your family,
Tim and Ann Abare & Family.
P.S. Because Ann would rather talk to you than write (in other words don’t expect any form of written communication from her), she forced me to tell you that life couldn’t be better - she has the most fascinating (charming, attractive, enthralling, mesmerizing captivating, interesting, absorbing and intriguing) husband and fantastic children in the world. She says she is living proof of Ephesians 3:20-21.
